Debut of Home on the Range DVD Sale

The Peoples Heartland Foundation had the privilege of hosting the Smith Center High School class of 1958 on Memorial Day weekend at the Home on the Range Cabin Site. We talked about the restoration of the Cabin and future development of the extended Site. We then toured the Site and reviewed some of the data stations, enjoyed an excellent box lunch and answered questions. John, Arlyce, Joshua and Hannah Allen, Topeka, volunteered their time to aid the visitors on and off the trailer.

We showed the Home on the Range movie in the high school auditorium to about 100 alumni and spouses. Sharon Black, class of 1974 assisted by Hannah Allen took orders for DVDs. Home on the Range, with its rich heritage, is a conduit to the nation and world which our graduates can relate to. We are proud to be ambassadors for Smith County.
